What headquarters actually does
Headquarters is the office layer for managers; it is not another customer-facing store. Developer guidance identifies Purchasing Agents and Logistics Managers as the staff who automate imported supply and warehouse distribution. HR Managers and Headhunters can also work there, and version 1.0 adds the Pricing Manager role.
Every manager needs a valid workstation and schedule. Renting an office without furnishing desks, computers, and other required workplace items does not activate the management systems.
Build only the functions you need
- Add a Purchasing Agent when importer orders should arrive at a warehouse.
- Add a Logistics Manager when drivers should distribute warehouse stock to locations.
- Add HR and headhunting when recruiting, training, and roster support have become repetitive.
- Add a Pricing Manager when neighborhood-wide product pricing is worth centralizing in 1.0.
Connect each manager to the relevant warehouse, supplier, route, or employee group in the management interface. A scheduled manager with no assignment is overhead, not automation.
When to expand or move HQ
Move when the current office cannot support the managers the company genuinely needs. Prepare the new workstations first, then transfer people and recheck assignments. Community reports have historically noted lost configuration during moves, and the 1.0 preview listed an HQ opening-days fix, so recording route and assignment settings before relocation is prudent.
That backup step is caution, not a claim that Build 3674 always loses configuration.
