Does it support playing together?
The current Steam feature listing identifies Dungeon Settlers as single-player. SteamDB’s app data corroborates that category; neither reviewed listing offers a co-op or multiplayer mode. This is the status checked on September 5, 2026, not a prediction about every possible future update. Steam listing, current app categories.
The expedition’s four-character limit can make promotional footage look like a group adventure. Those characters form a party managed within one player’s campaign. Do not interpret a party-size description as a lobby-size promise.
What the other Steam features mean
Steam Cloud is a save-synchronization feature, not a shared online settlement. A Family Sharing label is also separate from support for simultaneous co-op. Neither label supplies a second player with campaign controls.
If your aim is to build a settlement while a friend runs the dungeon, that is not a supported workflow established by the reviewed product listing. Check for an explicit multiplayer announcement before purchasing copies for that purpose.
Should you expect co-op later?
We are not presenting multiplayer as a roadmap commitment. Proposed mods, community requests and discussion-board wish lists are not proof that network play exists or will ship.
For a purchasing decision, evaluate the single-player game available now. Recheck this answer only when the developer changes the feature listing or publishes a concrete announcement; do not rely on a generic “party-based RPG” tag.
