Breathedge 2 Materials Locations and Gathering Guide

Breathedge 2 materials locations depend on the right tool. Find Aluminum, Wires, Electronics, Ice, Plastic, Metal, and other launch resources.

Resource quick reference

Version 0.8.5 usually makes the source object and harvesting tool the real puzzle. If an item will not yield a resource, inspect its material and try a different tool before assuming the location is empty.

Material Reliable visual lead Typical requirement
Aluminum Deposits on large craters or asteroids Thumper
Cardboard Loose sheets on platforms and inside wrecks Cutter
Duct Tape Exposed sections attached to pipes Cutter
Electronics Red access panels, floating TVs, washing machines Direct access or Scrap, depending on object
Foam Loose station or ship debris Cutter
Food Supply crates Scrap to open many containers
Glass Broken windows and wreck edges Often collectible directly
Ice Small chunks around larger ice formations Scrap
Metal Metal balls, barrels, and common debris Scrap
Plastic Pipes and equipment casings Scrap
Wires Open electrical panels on ships and platforms Cutter

This table is a route-planning aid, not a promise that every example object always contains the same amount.

Build a gathering loop

Start from the train and choose one or two target materials. Move between a known refill point and a visible cluster of appropriate objects, then return before the oxygen reserve falls below the cost of the trip home.

For early train repairs, prioritize Electronics, Wires, Aluminum, Plastic, and Metal. Ice has two roles: it supports basic survival production and it keeps oxygen infrastructure useful. Collect it on the return leg when inventory space permits.

Avoid common material mistakes

  • Do not use a durability-limited tool on the wrong object just to test every surface.
  • Do not confuse first-game resource advice with the sequel; tool names and deposits changed.
  • Do not spend all Aluminum on optional equipment before checking current main-quest repairs.
  • Do not leave a long route without the tool required at the destination.
  • Do not assume a guide image from the demo matches version 0.8.5.

Version note

The material list and examples were cross-checked against launch-week guides on September 2, 2026. Because both third-party tables were still being expanded and Early Access balance can move deposits or costs, this page remains mixed until every entry is independently captured in the current build.
