RedRuins released Hotfix 0.8.5 on September 1, 2026. SteamDB records it as build 25054492. The notes credit player bug reports for most of the fixes.

Gravity and carried objects
- The yellow training dummy should stop inheriting gravity after it leaves a gravity zone.
- Items should no longer fall through the player model after a death inside gravity.
- Carried physics props now trigger single and double doors instead of lodging in the doorway.
- Train doors begin opening from a greater distance, and an incorrect wrench prompt was removed.
Quest blockers and markers
- Clay statue slots lock after a piece is installed, preventing another clay ball from becoming trapped in the same slot.
- Saves that already contain a misplaced piece receive a recovery check; the notes direct players to look about one meter above the intended position.
- The Zarya shuttle antenna interaction should no longer trap the character.
- Repair the Speaker now highlights the speaker during the repair stage and places its marker at the oxygen terminal rather than the station hatch.
Controls
Clicking the train lamp from the affected angle should no longer restrict the camera to horizontal movement.
Known issue still open
The developer acknowledges problems with AZERTY keyboard layouts and says a fix is intended for an upcoming update. Hotfix 0.8.5 therefore should not be described as resolving every keyboard-layout problem.
What to do if a fixed quest still fails
Confirm the game updated to 0.8.5, close and relaunch Steam, load the affected save, and revisit the interaction. For the clay statue, check the recovery position described above. If the issue remains, use the in-game bug report tool and attach the save when possible.
