Verified status
Breathedge 2 is Steam Deck Verified. The compatibility record was tested on August 14, 2026 against build 24730778, before the public Early Access launch.
Valve’s recorded checks state that:
- all functionality is accessible through the default controller setup;
- the game displays Steam Deck controller icons;
- interface text is legible on the handheld screen;
- the default graphics configuration performs well;
- the Windows build runs successfully on SteamOS.
The metadata recommends the Proton 11.0-2 release-candidate runtime for the tested configuration. Steam can update the selected runtime automatically, so manually forcing an older version is not the default first step.
External controller caveat
The compatibility record includes one operational note: the game may not automatically switch to an external Bluetooth or USB controller on Deck or SteamOS. If a connected pad appears unresponsive, open the Quick Access controller settings and make that device the active controller.
What Verified does not guarantee
Verified is a compatibility result for a specific tested build and default configuration. It does not promise a locked frame rate in every scene, identical battery life on LCD and OLED hardware, or protection from regressions in later Early Access patches.
For troubleshooting, first restore the default graphics and controller layout, confirm the active input device, and compare the installed game and Proton versions with current reports.
