Mortal Shell II Weapons Guide

This Mortal Shell 2 weapons guide organizes primary weapons, sidearms, and Seals, while separating Beta descriptions from current route reports.

Equipment structure

The supplied launch guide set tracks eight primary weapons, eight sidearms, and four Seals. Primary weapons define the main moveset, sidearms add ranged or utility options, and Seals change a defensive or combat rule such as Guard, Harden, or Parry.

Primary weapons in the current reference set

  • Axe & Dagger
  • Great Martyr’s Blade
  • Black Needle
  • The Iconoclast
  • Clockwork Scythe
  • Obsidian Hammer
  • Axatana
  • Veteran’s Battle Axe

The Beta interface documented names and signature abilities, including Deadly Flurry for Axe & Dagger, Spiral Surge for Great Martyr’s Blade, and Morph Attack for Axatana. Exact damage and launch balance should be read from the current in-game panel.

Sidearms and Seals

The current sidearm roster includes ranged tools such as the Forgotten Crossbow, Naylshotte, Ballistazooka, and other unusual utility weapons. The four documented Seals are Untarnished Seal, Vatra’s Seal, Infinite Seal, and Slayer Seal.

Rather than treating Seals as another weapon tier, choose one by the defensive action you can execute reliably. A theoretically stronger timing mechanic is not an upgrade if it conflicts with how you react under pressure.

Why routes need version labels

Community map authors reported item-location changes between the demo/Beta and release. For that reason, this Wiki separates three kinds of information:

  • Confirmed interface text: names, descriptions, and named abilities visible in the referenced build.
  • Launch route report: a location described by a current guide.
  • Unconfirmed: a route or coordinate that lacks a current independent check.

Upgrade priorities

Pick a primary weapon whose reach and recovery you understand, then invest in it before building a broad collection. Add a sidearm that solves a different problem—range, interruption, or crowd control—and select a Seal whose timing you can reproduce. This gives the build three complementary roles instead of three competing upgrades.

Location caution

Region-level anchors such as Mushroom Village, Gloomshade Grove, Silent Steps, and Blackridge Cliffs are more durable than exact coordinates. Recheck the source map after patches before spending a long route on a single pickup.
