Proxima at a glance
Proxima, the Broodseeker, is one of the early Shell options in Mortal Shell II. Current guide coverage associates her with a grappling Biosampler attack, Lightning effects, and passive damage mitigation through Grafted Armor.
Where to find Proxima
Current launch-route reports place Proxima at the Shattered Beacon. From the early Fainweald route, travel through Widow’s Overlook toward Blackridge Pass, enter the Blackridge Cliffs approach, and continue toward the visible ruined Beacon. Inside, interact with the central remains to enter Proxima’s memory and complete the possession unlock.
Landmarks and enemy placement can move after updates. Treat “Shattered Beacon” as the stable route anchor and use a current map for the final turn rather than relying on a Beta screenshot.
Core ability identity
Biosampler
Biosampler fires a hook that can close distance and set up a follow-up strike. Its published upgrade branches reduce Resolve cost, add Lightning or Stasis pressure, increase damage, and improve control effects.
Grafted Armor
Grafted Armor provides a chance to mitigate incoming damage and prevent stagger. Upgrades can strengthen that protection during actions such as aiming, dodging, sprinting, or using Biosampler.
Who should use Proxima?
Choose Proxima if you enjoy initiating fights, repositioning through a targeted ability, and building around mitigation instead of relying only on blocking. She is less useful as a “best Shell” answer for players who prefer pure stealth, heavy health trading, or another Shell’s unique resource loop.
Early upgrade direction
Start by reducing the cost or risk of the ability you use most. A consistent Biosampler loop is usually more useful than spreading points across late conditional effects. Reassess after you have a weapon whose reach complements her pull-and-strike rhythm.
