Quick answer
Prepare before contact. Iron Blight requires players to check magazines and handle reload steps manually, while its minimal interface withholds a normal ammo counter. A shot also creates sound that can draw threats, so ammunition and noise are one combined decision.
Pre-encounter routine
- Move to a secure position.
- Inspect the current magazine state.
- Complete any needed reload before opening the next route.
- Identify a retreat path and decide what would justify firing.
- Stop once the obstacle to progress or escape is removed.
Avoid beginning an uncertain interaction halfway through a reload. The extra few seconds spent preparing outside danger can save both health and ammunition.
Do not trust an unsupported tier list
Public official material explains the handling philosophy but does not publish a stable damage table for every weapon and enemy. Community comparisons may still be useful leads, yet exact shot counts can change with difficulty, distance, patches, and target state.
Version 1.03 adjusted enemy behavior and several state-related issues. Test weapon behavior on the live build and use the official feed when a result conflicts with launch-week advice.
