Avoid unnecessary fights, search deliberately, keep inventory space for tools, inspect magazines before danger, and treat gunfire as a last-resort cost because sound attracts threats. Update before a long session because early patches fixed progression and save triggers.

Reserve flexible grid space before entering a new route, keep progression tools until their purpose is clear, and compare backpack pickups rather than collecting duplicates. Version 1.03 prevents non-upgrading backpacks from being picked up, fixing one source of duplicate inventory items.

Check magazines before entering danger, finish the manual reload process in a secure area, and fire only when a threat blocks required progress or escape. Gunfire attracts enemies, and the game intentionally provides no conventional ammo counter or health bar.

Follow objective clues, search optional rooms before crossing major transitions, and carry unique tools until their later use is clear. Continue from Chapter 1 when possible: version 1.03 lists an item-transfer issue when Chapter 2 is started directly.

Public official pages do not document multiple ending requirements. Community material currently describes a single campaign ending, but that is not enough to prove every hidden branch absent. Keep a recent save before the final route and treat ending-count claims as provisional.

Photograph or transcribe every symbol, preserve order and orientation, identify what the mechanism accepts, and test one interpretation at a time. Version 1.01 fixed a punch-card puzzle bug triggered when the correct answer was entered on the first attempt.

Iron Blight currently lists 22 Steam achievements. Complete a normal campaign first, record missed conditions, then plan difficulty, modifier, combat, and cleanup runs after updating because version 1.01 changed how completion achievements evaluate modifiers.

Iron Blight is not confirmed Steam Deck Verified or Playable in the public metadata checked on September 2, 2026. SteamDB shows a Windows executable and no recorded Valve compatibility category; that means untested or unclassified, not proven incompatible.

Iron Blight lists an i5-3470-class CPU, 8 GB RAM, GTX 750 Ti 2 GB-class graphics, and 1 GB storage as minimum. The recommended tier lists an i5-7600-class CPU, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1060 6 GB-class graphics, and the same storage.

Version 1.03 is the newest official patch in this September 2 snapshot. It addresses map labels, inventory duplication, save triggers, puzzle resets, input persistence, quick-heal locking, enemy behavior, physics timing, and several progression states while listing unresolved issues.

Update to version 1.03, restart, compare one graphics change at a time, close overlays or background capture tools, and test a repeatable scene. The patch increased the physics engine frame rate, but no official universal FPS target or benchmark is published.

Iron Blight uses progression save triggers documented in its patch notes. Version 1.03 added or repeated triggers around specific transitions and addressed several loading states. Steam Cloud is not listed as a store feature, so do not assume automatic cross-device backup.
