Separate edition extras from pre-order extras
IllFonic lists the Digital Standard Edition at US$39.99 and Digital Deluxe at US$59.99. These are the publisher’s announced US digital prices, not guaranteed totals in every Steam region.
The Deluxe package includes the Inmate Michael Myers skin, the Richard and Alexis civilian characters, the digital comic, and advance access to the Final Girl Laurie Strode cosmetic. The Phantom Michael skin belongs to the digital pre-order offer, including Standard pre-orders; it is not simply another permanent Deluxe item.
What the head start buys
The advance-access window runs before the September 8 full release. Treat it as time-limited access value: buying near the end does not create another four days after everyone else starts. The September launch FAQ says purchasing Deluxe during the window still grants the pre-order bonuses before the stated cutoff.
Our recommendation is to judge the lasting characters and cosmetics first, then decide what the remaining head start is worth to you.
Avoid the wrong upgrade assumption
IllFonic says a Digital Deluxe upgrade will be available at launch, while the Phantom pre-order skin will not be sold after the pre-order period. An upgrade and a pre-order therefore answer different needs. Check the current store package before paying, especially if you already own Standard. This page does not claim that Deluxe includes unannounced DLC, every future civilian, or a season pass.
