Official feature, test-specific procedure
BULKHEAD confirms base construction and destruction as core systems. The more detailed setup below comes from a player-authored beta FAQ, not a finalized developer manual. Check your current item descriptions before committing cash.
That FAQ describes buying a FOB item from the equipment vendor and needing a backpack larger than the free one to carry it. It also distinguishes the FOB’s construction area from an actual transport or spawn asset. Do not assume that placing the building alone creates every service your squad needs.
Decide what the site should achieve
Our recommendation is to name a single initial purpose: support an objective push, provide a useful resupply point, or help a coordinated defensive position. Then test the location against access, protection, and usefulness. An impressive perimeter without a supply route is an unfinished plan.
Before placing optional structures, ask which resources the operating group needs and how they will arrive. The community FAQ describes continuing construction and ammunition demand. Treat its exact prices and dimensions as test observations, not values guaranteed after release.
Keep the first base understandable
Leave a clear way for friendly movement and deliveries, avoid unnecessary interior complexity, and make responsibilities explicit. Who builds, who supplies, and who watches the approach? If no one can answer, reduce the scope. A small position with a defined job teaches more than a sprawling base that consumes attention without helping the current match.
