Understand what awards the point
The official FAQ gives the basic rule: three teams, a comparison every 30 seconds, and a win target of 100 points. The team with the most players in the Control Zone receives the point. Team17 describes a randomized 2-by-2-kilometer objective within the broader battlefield.
Those are documented rules, not a promise that every live test retains identical timing. Check the current match display when comparing older guides.
Position for the next useful action
Our tactical recommendation is to choose a position that lets you influence the objective while remaining reachable by teammates. A dramatic duel far away may not help a friendly group that is losing presence. Before chasing, ask whether leaving creates a more important gap.
Three teams also change how to read a quiet flank. Fighting one faction does not account for the other. When one approach becomes crowded, use the map and team communication to determine whether you are overlooking a second pressure point.
Coordinate arrivals, not just attacks
If a group needs transport or recovery, help restore its presence before demanding another push. A player returning to the objective can matter more than an isolated elimination elsewhere.
Do not convert the published scoring interval into a fixed match-duration claim. Setup, contested play, and build changes make that unreliable. Similarly, no universal tower location or route follows from the objective being randomized. Use the live boundary and the current team distribution.
