A multiplier is an opportunity
Team17 advertises the Hot Zone as a place to earn double cash. An August PC Gamer playtest also describes extra objective weight there. Neither statement makes every approach worthwhile or establishes a permanent table of rewards for September builds.
Our recommendation is to compare two options before moving: a supported entry with a realistic chance to remain useful, or another task that you can complete reliably. A bonus applied to a brief, unsuccessful life can be less valuable than steady contribution elsewhere.
Make a small entry plan
Identify how you will arrive, who will be nearby, and what you intend to do once there. Then choose equipment for that task. If the only plan is to run repeatedly through the same exposed approach, buying a more expensive gun does not answer the real problem.
After a failed attempt, change one factor. Try a coordinated arrival, wait for transport, or support the next group. This gives you usable feedback instead of a sequence of unrelated loadouts.
Separate personal rewards from team value
The cash incentive and the team’s objective are related, but they are not the same measurement. Protecting a route or helping an injured teammate may enable a stronger entry even if you are outside the bonus area. Reassess when friendly support disappears; do not let the multiplier turn a recoverable position into repeated unsupported respawns.
