Read the performance footnote first
The Steam requirements verified on September 5 specify these PC tiers:
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | Core i5-8400 / Ryzen 3 3100 | Core i5-10400 / Ryzen 5 3600 |
| GPU | GTX 1660 6 GB / RX 5500 XT 8 GB | RTX 2060 Super 8 GB / RX 6600 8 GB |
| Memory | 16 GB | 16 GB |
| System and storage | Windows 11, DirectX 12, 50 GB SSD | Same |
The listed targets are upscaled 1080p at 30 fps on Low or 60 fps on Medium. They are not guarantees of uninterrupted performance.
Compare exact parts, not product families
Write down your complete GPU model and its memory capacity. A similarly named laptop GPU or a card with less memory is not automatically equivalent to the listed desktop part. Check that the installation destination is actually an SSD and leave room for updates beyond the printed installation figure.
If you record or stream, budget for the additional applications separately. Having the stated game memory requirement does not demonstrate that a busy recording setup has enough headroom.
Decide what to test next
Start from the target that matches your hardware and compare the same scene before and after changes. A quiet corridor is a weak basis for predicting a crowded fight. Record resolution, preset and upscaler together; an fps number without those details cannot support a useful comparison.
