Compare the kits, not just the edition names
Steam lists three base-game purchase tiers. Deluxe adds the Deluxe Kit, which contains charms and appearance items. Premium Deluxe bundles both the Deluxe and Premium kits, adding more character clothing and an in-game mini digital soundtrack.
The important distinction is functional charms versus cosmetic appearances. The store explicitly separates appearance changes from combat performance. A decorative sword does not become a new weapon class because its model is different.
Match the purchase to what you will use
Standard is the straightforward choice if you mainly want to play the campaign. Consider an upgrade only after identifying particular included items you would otherwise want. Do not count every costume as a separate gameplay feature.
For Premium Deluxe, ask whether the extra supporting-character outfits and soundtrack matter to you. If your interest is entirely in Musashi’s gameplay, a larger cosmetic inventory may add little value to your own playthrough.
Check entitlement and availability before buying twice
Read the current storefront bundle contents and your library’s existing DLC before adding a kit. A game-plus-kit bundle and a standalone kit are not the same purchase.
The launch materials warn that some content can become available later. They do not establish a campaign expansion pass in these kits, so we do not describe one. Prices, currencies and early-adopter offers vary by storefront and time; confirm the local checkout rather than applying a dollar figure from a different region.
