Begin with the supported checks
NBA 2K uses Easy Anti-Cheat on PC. The current support article recommends updating Windows, graphics and essential drivers, and hardware-control utilities such as RGB software. Where a utility has no compatible version, its guidance permits disabling that utility.
That is not advice to disable antivirus, remove anti-cheat, or alter the game executable. Avoid expanding a narrow software-compatibility step into a blanket security change.
Find out where startup fails
Record the exact error text and whether it appears before the game window, during EAC initialization or after the main menu. Keep the timestamp and the changes made immediately before the failure. An error code is more useful than describing every failed launch as a crash.
Next compare your machine with NBA 2K27’s requirements, especially AVX2 and DirectX hardware support. Unsupported hardware and an anti-cheat initialization issue are different failure paths.
Change one thing and preserve evidence
After an official update, restart normally and repeat the same launch. Do not install a collection of unofficial fixes at once; you will not know which change affected the result.
If the issue remains, send support the error, operating-system version, hardware information and the steps already tried. Remove personal account details from public screenshots. The reviewed support guidance does not promise that a generic reinstall fixes every EAC failure, and neither does this guide.
