Crimson Moon Builds, Gear, Boons, and Angels

Crimson Moon builds, gear, Boons, and Angels replace fixed classes with nine equipment slots, temporary Nexus choices, and one companion power.

Build foundation

Crimson Moon does not lock the Nephilim into a traditional class. Your setup comes from equipment, Weapon Arts, Boons, and a chosen Angel, allowing the same character to move between offensive, defensive, and hybrid approaches.

The launch documentation describes nine gear pieces: four armor slots, two trinkets, a one-handed weapon plus shield, and a two-handed weapon. Weapons may carry cooldown-based Weapon Arts, while matched armor pieces and equipment effects can create additional synergies.

Permanent and temporary layers

Use purified equipment at the Loadout Station to establish the starting build. During a mission, new loot can replace equipped items immediately, and Nexus Gates present temporary Boons for the rest of that attempt. An Angel adds another active or supporting option selected before deployment.

A reliable decision rule

Do not equip an item only because its rarity is higher. Read what the current effects reward: sustained aggression, survivability, healing, status pressure, or another behavior. Choose Nexus Boons that reinforce that plan unless the mission exposes a weakness that requires adaptation.

In co-op, partners can deliberately cover different needs. That is a framework for testing combinations, not a claim that one unverified launch-day loadout is universally best.
